The BBR1-A BLACKBOX RECORDER with ADAT i/o
adds the ability to capture your performance from a Digital Mixing Console
supporting ADAT Lightpipe (TOSlink) inputs and outputs. Alternatively, this style of
BBR can interface directly with any of the high quality A-D converters which
incorporate ADAT Lightpipe outputs
Three 8 channel Lightpipe inputs can be connected from your console and three Lightpipe outputs can return the signals back to the mixer. All other features of the BLACKBOX RECORDER unit remain unchanged and you still have the full analogue i/o of the standard BBR1 for situations where the Lightpipe inteface is not suitable.
Due to limitations in the ADAT lightpipe format, use of this option restricts 24 track recording to sample rates of 44.1kHz or 48kHz, however, the full 96kHz facility is still available in the Analogue domain.
The ADAT version of the BlackBox Recorder BBR1-A is expected to be available Q2/2010.
